A few weekends ago we had my baby shower for baby A. I have to start off by saying a huge thank you to my mom and mother-in-law for coordinating and co-hosting. They did a fantastic job! For my theme I decided I wanted elephants. I scoured Pinterest for hours looking for inspiration and I found so many cute baby boy baby shower ideas using elephants. I loved these little cookies so much and I was so happy when my mom found someone who could make similar cookies and cake pops.
My mother-in-law did an amazing job sourcing all of the shower decor and fun photobooth style props! The tables were all decorated with elephants, peanuts, and blue hydrangeas (which are one of my favorites). Everything worked out so well.
I also got the idea on Pinterest to make a Price is Right shower game. I ended up making the game cards and price tags and picked up the items for the game. It was fun to see what people thought everything went for. And I was surprised we ended up with two people that were super close to getting everything right!
The other game we played which is pretty common at baby showers is the don’t say baby game. I’m sure most of you all know it. But pretty much you can’t say the word baby the entire day and if you catch someone say it you get to take their pin and whoever has the most at the end of the shower gets to take home a prize. Instead of little clothes pins or buttons I wanted to make little bow ties like the ones I saw on Pinterest. I used the same prints as I did with the Price is Right game so they all coordinated. Without even trying my mother-in-law picked up the cutest straws that happened to match perfectly!
The most fun DIY I did for the shower was my shower gifts. I posted the DIY already, you can check it out here. To go along with the elephant theme, not only did my guests get to pick out an elastic hair tie they also went home with some peanuts for my little peanut.
So that’s it for my little peek inside my baby shower the other weekend. Wish I would have snapped some more pics but I was enjoying myself just a little too much to think about it! If you’re expecting a baby boy or know someone who is, I hope you were able to get a little inspiration for yourself!!
