I left my He(art) in San Francisco could not be more true. When Justin and I moved out of the city I knew with the rapidly rising rental market (which has not shown any signs of slowing down) we would never be able to move back. We had the cutest studio apartment in the Marina, with rent control, and I would walk everywhere I needed to go on the weekends. I’d even take the pups up to Fillmore street for brunch and then shopping before heading back down the hill to get home. We’d be out for hours and I just loved it.
On a very important side note: of course, our life has been amazing as we’ve moved around California for Justin’s job in the Military and then my job at a startup in the Peninsula before settling back down in Santa Cruz, where we were both born and raised, to grow our family!
I used to head up to SF weekly for events or getting together with friends but after I got pregnant I was too tired after my long day of work to make the drive up to the city and have since been very infrequently, which of course makes me a little sad.
I was happy to hear that RewardStyle and LIKEtoKNOW.it were coming to San Francisco for their city tour. I’ve loved following along with their city tour up to this point and checking out on Instagram all the pretty walls. Each cities flare has been represented in the wall art while also being cohesive to the brand and the other wall art installations they’ve done. I definitely think SF was captured in this mural and I love it!
I made a day trip up to San Francisco the other day for meetings, lunch, and a visit to the LIKEtoKNOW.it He(art) Wall, and couldn’t help but feel nostalgic walking some of my favorite streets.
