NYFW is always such a whirlwind and I really enjoyed recapping each day for you all last season so I am brining it back. As much as you enjoyed it, I did too! It’s a great way for me to look back on all my fun during NYFW and have the memories grouped together by day. So for my first NYFW diary post I’m sharing everything I did for NYFW FW19 day one!
I feel like FW19 day one may have been my busiest day! I got to see shows I haven’t been to in seasons as well as some of my all time favorites. My day one consisted of an outfit shoot first thing in the morning. I shared my day one look here. And then I was off to my first show of the season, Indonesian Diversity. This show, showcases four different designers from Indonesia that are well known in their country but not in the United States. I was blown away by all four designers collections. I was given a front row seat to the show so I was able to really see and enjoy the collections. Here are my favorite looks that came down the runway. Images are courtesy of Riviere Agency.
After Indonesian Diversity I had a nice break before my next show, Tadashi Shoji. I had so much fun at his show last season so I was so excited when they invited me back! The collection was so beautiful!! I mean, when is it not though?! Tadashi’s collections are always infused with glamour and are tailored to flatter a women’s figure. I really enjoyed the diversity in Tadashi’s model selection this season as it showcased exactly how flattering his gowns are on all body types. His gowns look stunning on women of all shapes and sizes and it was apparent coming down the runway. I wish I had some black tie galas and events to attend because I want an excuse to be able to wear one of his new gowns. Why can’t my life be just a little more glam on the reg???

After Tadashi, I headed over to Industria for two back to back shows, Jiri Kalfar and Hogan McLaughlin. Both of these shows were being produced by People’s Revolution. I am a big fan of their PR agency. They always do such a great job putting on shows during NYFW. And, I am a HUGE fan of Kelly Cutrone. It was cool seeing her before the shows and backstage in between Jiri Kalfar and Hogan McLaughlin. Out of the two shows I was really drawn to Jiri Kalfar. His collection was stunning and I was obsessed with the music too. Here are some of my favorite looks from each. Professional photos again, as I had a standing ticket and had a hard time capturing good photos over peoples heads. #shortgirlproblems

Following Jiri Kalfar and Hogan McLaughlin, I had Badgley Mischka! I was very much looking forward to their show, as it has been a few years since I’ve been invited. When designers change PR firms, it can be hard sometimes to find the right contact. I think I searched about 30 minutes or more to find a new contact which I spotted at the bottom of a PR article. I”ll have a full recap of Badgley Mischka as I was fortunate to get backstage access thanks to Redken. So be on the lookout for that post soon!
As always, thank you so much for stopping by the blog! I hope you enjoyed the post!!
