I’m back to NYFW after taking a year off because of having Mason. When I landed in New York I felt so excited to get back to something that I love so much. This NYFW was definitely different than years past because as a breastfeeding mom I had to really make sure I was continuing to take care of myself in a way that would be best for Mason when I got home. I was needing to pump at least twice a day which of course cut into my time getting ready in the morning and something I needed to do before heading out for late evening shows and events so I wasn’t too uncomfortable. Since I’m not working an office job like I was in the past I ended up “needing” to get a whole new wardrobe for NYFW because I felt like the clothes, shoes, bags and accessories I had weren’t good enough.
Just because it’s Fall in September doesn’t mean that its cool. Typically it can get pretty hot in New York but this year the temps were actually bearable and sometimes a bit chilly. For my first day of NYFW SS18 I wore a perfect for Fall color combo of burgundy and mustard with a layer of denim. I think this is one of my favorite combos of the season and was loving this outfit because it was both stylish and super comfortable. My skirt has an elastic waistband making very easy to wear (even after eating a large meal) and these peep toe booties I could walk around in them forever.
I only ended up getting to attend a couple shows, mainly because I was stuck waiting for UBER drivers and having shows across town from each other made the logistics a bit hard.
