Peach is my favorite fruit and color this season. I have been gravitating towards peach colored pieces for the last few months it seems, so when I found this ASTR peach lace illusion hemline skirt, I couldn’t resist! I love a good illusion hemline skirt. It’s a great work skirt alternative to the more typical pencil, a-line, or midi skirt. This peach lace ASTR skirt combines three of my favorite styles right now, the illusion hemline with a midi pencil skirt. The delicate and feminine details of the skirt make it appropriate for work, brunch with the girls, date night, or really I can see it working for any occasion.
When putting together a heavily printed outfit, I love pulling one color out of the large print to pair with it. This printed peplum top, part of the 3.1 Phillip Lim collection for Target, is bold and has so many colors in it, making it very versatile. There are hints of dull peach and brighter pink in the floral print and that’s why it works well with the dual pattern lace skirt. In the close up of the skirt you can see a small pattern in fabric used for the mini portion of the skirt which is very different from the lace pattern of the bottom half of the skirt. While all patterns are different the difference in scale of each of the prints make them work well together. The print in the top stands out the most and the soft patterns in the skirt are complimentary and are noticed when you take a closer look at the outfit.
