If you couldn’t already tell, I’m a big fan of wine! I love white wine and rosé wine and I’m all about the bubbly!! I’ve been on a number of trips to wine country this summer. Napa, Sonoma, Healdsburg, and Paso Robles are all not too far of a drive. But, there are times that I want to try some new wineries and do a little wine tasting but can’t make the drive to wine country…so what’s a girl to do?? Order wine packs from Martha Stewart Wine Co! I selected the rosé box and received 6 different rosé wines. PS I’m almost through all of them and there has yet to be one that I do not like. If you don’t like rosé (which I’m pretty sure said no one ever) there are plenty of wine packs to choose from to fit your fancy!
One way to enjoy all those tasty bottles of rosé is to host your own wine tasting party in your backyard. Yes, summer is winding down but there are still so many gorgeous days ahead! In California the weather is absolutely beautiful through October so there is still plenty of time to gather a group of friends for a backyard soiree. What do you need for this soiree? Really, not much. Every party you through doesn’t have to be over the top. A simple backyard party with wine, some lite bites, and maybe some sweets is really all you need. The company you keep is truly what makes the party!
When I host a party I love to have fresh flower arrangements set out but for this simple soiree I choose to use these fun, colorful round lanterns instead to put out on the table to add some extra color! I also used my classic gold polka dots plates from Kate Spade and to add a touch of playfulness layered them with these colorful fish plates (borrowed from my mother-in-law). I used my silverware that I got as a wedding gift; they’re from Vera Wang. The hammered design makes them perfect for formal dinners as well as casual get togethers. My stemless wine glasses have a tint of color to them. I love this set of pink, yellow, green, and blue glasses. And I can never host a party without using at least a touch of Annie Glass. I’m absolutely obsessed and think her pieces add the perfect touch of elegance.
