I’m a big fan of wine country, I’ve been up to Napa and Sonoma many times (most recent visit I’ve blogged about here, here, and here). This summer I’ve already been to two places I haven’t visited before. Paso Robles (though I’ve driven through there a number of times) and now Healdsburg just a week later. It’s so fun to make spur of the moment plans, and that is exactly how this trip came about. My friend called me on a Wednesday and the very next day I was driving up to meet her in Healdsburg for a girls trip and some wine tasting!
I got to try some wineries I had never heard of before and just like the wineries in Napa and Sonoma, they did not disappoint! My favorite from our first day of wine tasting was Medlock Ames. While I only tasted two of their wines, their Sauvignon Blanc and their Merlot-based Rosé, they were delicious and refreshing. I left with a bottle of each because I couldn’t resist. We got a cheese plate to share and they were nice enough to give us extra cheese, twice, for Mason. Yes, I’m the mom that brings her baby with her wine tasting. Don’t judge.
