Pairing denim and linen has quickly become the perfect Summer outfit combo for me! I wore this pretty number to an event recently in San Francisco. I love wearing linen for Summer and denim is always a go-to. Both denim and linen are perfect materials for Summer. Linen is light, airy, and breathable. And well, denim is perfect year round. This denim cold shoulder top is very lightweight and is super stylish with the ruffle sleeve detail and halter neckline.
I spotted these striped linen-blend high waist pants when doing some online shopping/outfit research and kept a watch on them. When they went on sale during Memorial Day Weekend, I knew I needed to scoop them up! Express honestly has some pretty good sales, year round, but they typically focus on one key item during each sale, like tops or dresses. But for the holidays, they have an entire store sale and so I was able to purchase multiple items, all at a discount.
My cold shoulder denim top was also on sale for Memorial Day Weekend and comes in lots of different prints and materials but I could just see this top working so nicely with these pants. Do you ever envision all the outfits you can make with a piece before you purchase it? I most definitely do this. It helps me to decide if something is really worth purchasing or not. If I can see a top styled multiple ways, then I tend to justify the purchase (confessions of a shopaholic here).
I had my top and bottoms picked for my event but needed the perfect pair of heels to go with it. While I have many pairs of shoes to choose from in my closet already, when I spotted these adorable bow detail heels online at Target I knew they would tie it all together. These heels, come in two other colors as well and will definitely be on rotation a lot this Summer as they’re the perfect shade of blush and will go nicely with some many of my dresses, pants, skirts, and shorts. Do you love wearing shorts and heels together? I feel like it’s a great way to dress them up and make shorts “going out” appropriate.
