Since you can’t stay in the same outfit all day I switched into a second outfit late afternoon before heading out for my evening events and shows. I was invited to the Marled event where they so generously gifted us some super cute tops and sweaters along with a branded Marled by Reunited Clothing sweatshirt to take home. They also had the cutest food table with Shake Shack burgers, shroom burgers, and mini buckets of fries. I got to meet the creative director for Marled and part of her team as well as her mom and sister. It was a really fun event and I had a hard time leaving but I needed to make it to my next event of the night.
During NYFW it can be tough to fit it all in because many times parties and shows will overlap, but I try to do the best I can to attend everything I am in invited to and RSVP to. So after the Marled event I headed to the Style Collective event. It was so nice to meet so many bloggers and a number of who I feel like I already know because of their blog and Instagram.
I wore my new Kobi Halperin for Macy’s lace bomber jacket paired with a cute crop cami with ruffle detail and faux leather shorts from BCBG. This outfit felt very black and burgundy so I paired it with my charcoal booties from Donald J Pliner that I got from their store on Santana Row. I love the fix of feminine and edgy details. I know many would probably think that shorts are too casual to wear for NYFW but honestly it’s all about how you wear them and really anything goes. If you ever are in New York during fashion week and get to check out the street style you’ll notice that there are so many different styles being represented and some people will wear sneakers while others will be in sky high heels.
