To kick off Summer and BBQ season, I recently attended a backyard BBQ hosted by Line 39 Wine and Weber® Grills. Thank you to Line 39 Wine for sponsoring this post! As always, the opinions expressed are my own and not that of Line 39 Wine or Weber® Grills. The content in this post is intended for my 21+ audience.
Now that Summer has officially started, it’s time to fire up the grill and host your friends and family to a backyard BBQ! I love Summertime and I love hosting Summer BBQs. Our backyard is perfect for it! So, I thought it would be fun to share how to host the best Summer BBQ this grilling season with Line 39 Sauvignon Blanc, as that’s my absolute favorite from their collection of Line 39 Wine. Plus, it’s the perfect pairing with grilled fish or chicken which is pretty much what we cook up in our house.
Tips on How to Host the Best Summer BBQ:
1. Decide on the menu. Select a theme for the food. By doing so it will help set you up for the rest of your party.
2. Pick the perfect pairing. Once you have your menu set think carefully about what Line 39 Wine will go best with your food options. If you prefer white over red, or red over white, make sure you still have something for everyone’s taste buds.
3. Think about the decor. For me the decor is the most fun part about hosting a party. I love the black and white gingham tablecloth that was used at the Line 39 Wine and Weber® Grills BBQ. Gingham is the perfect summer print!
4. Add fresh flowers. Floral arrangements are such a nice touch and elevate any party. Find flowers that are vibrant and compliment the table setting and party decor. These big sunflowers are gorgeous and such a showstopper.
Things to consider when planning out your Summer BBQ:
Are you going to fire up the grill and go All-American with hamburgers, hotdogs, and potato salad? If so, the perfect pairing would be Line 39 Chardonnay for white wine drinkers and Line 39 Cabernet Sauvignon for red wine drinkers. The Chardonnay is crisp and medium-bodied, while the Cabernet Sauvignon is rich and smooth. If you’re a grilled fish lover like I am, then consider also grilling up some corn on the cob and prepare a nice salad topped with grilled strawberries for the perfect Summer BBQ meal. The Line 39 Sauvignon Blanc, which is fruity and refreshing with no oak aging, would be the perfect pairing for white wine drinkers and the Line 39 Excursion Red Blend would be perfect for red wine drinkers. It’s a proprietary red blend that’s rich and structured and a beautiful plum color.
Talking about perfect pairings, Line 39 is teaming up with Weber® Grills for a fun summer sweepstakes! Visit line39bbq.com or text BBQ to 797979 for your chance to win a Weber® Q 1200 portable gas grill (it’s the Weber® Grills grill on display at the event I attended) for all your outdoor adventures and backyard barbeques. See line39wines.com/sweeps for official rules and look for displays in store.
When throwing a backyard BBQ, the decor is just as important as the menu. I love to set up different seating areas around the backyard. Last party I hosted I created a picnic style seating on our lawn with some outdoor poufs for extra seating. I also used our outdoor dining table, bench and chairs. I like creating different seating areas mainly because it makes conversation easier, especially if you’re inviting a lot of guests. As people break off into different conversations they have areas they can go to sit and be comfortable.
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today and again thank you to Line 39 Wine and Weber® Grills for sponsoring this post!
