While I’m still waiting for what I ordered to arrive, I wanted to share what I purchased from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. This year is the first in many that I didn’t head to Nordstrom to shop the sale early. I chose to stay home and shop online when it was my day to do so. I also chose to deliver as opposed to pick up in store and that mainly because I didn’t want to have to drop my house projects to drive over the hill to pick them up. This year was also the first that I didn’t go overboard shopping. I just didn’t feel like I really needed to add anything to my closet. So, I stuck to just a few things that I had been wanting for a long time to take advantage of the sale prices.
A few things I had been wanting to buy, like basics and loungewear were already sold out in my size. I’ll keep an eye out for restocked but at the same time, I know it will be fine if I can’t get them. I love getting Mason’s basic tees during the sale and they were out in his size in the colors I wanted. Also, the long sleeve version was sold out. His sweatpants were in stock in the color he already has in 3T but I wanted to get the blue in 4T. Tucker + Tate makes the softest basics. His long sleeve hoodie was also sold out so I had no luck shopping for him for clothes. I did score this pair of converse for him which are super cute and will be great for Back to Preschool.
I bought so much for our home at the beginning of quarantine that I couldn’t justify shopping home decor. And I asked Justin if he needed any basics but he said no. So that just left shopping for myself. I just did a closet edit and catalogued what essentials I was missing. I had a strict shopping list and wasn’t in love with the options for what I really needed, so I picked up a cardigan that had been on my want list for years. I’m surprised that it’s still in stock but last I checked it’s available in all sizes and has two other color options that are also available. I also picked up these cute pair of tan booties since you can never had too many pairs and surprisingly I don’t have a light tan pair of boots.
Since I haven’t been able to go to the spa in forever, I’ve been focusing on upping my skincare routine at home. I had stopped using my NuFace regularly before quarantine but have picked back up using it again. With regular weekly use I definitely see an improvement in my skin. I’ve had my eye on the GloPRO for a while now but have been hesitant to try microneedling but with the sale and sets included in the sale I decided to splurge on them. I bought both the GloPRO Facial Set as well as the body attachment and cream. I can’t wait to start adding this into my skincare routine.
So there you have it, I bought a total of 5 items in the NSale this year. Undoubtedly the fewest items I’ve ever purchased during this sale but I have to admit I have no FOMO at all this year and that feels great! I’ll be sure to review what I bought once I receive it all and have time to try it all out but I am excited for my purchases and ability to have self control and not buy just to buy.
Did you get anything in the sale yet? Or, when the sale opens up to everyone, are you planning on shopping for something?
As always, thank you so much for stopping by the blog today!
