I can hardly believe that the 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is already upon us! I had the opportunity to shop in-store before the sale like I did last year so that I could share with you on the first day of early access my top picks for the sale! As you all know, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is one of my favorite sales of the year. It’s the time that I stock up on clothes, shoes, and accessories for Fall for me as well as pick up stuff for Mason and Justin too! I can’t wait to share some of my favorite mommy and me styles, that are included in the sale, next week.
If you’re new around here or just haven’t shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale before I did a post last year that explains in more detail about the sale. And since you all loved my dressing room try-on post I couldn’t not do it this year. It was one of my highest trafficking post of 2018 and I wasn’t surprised at all seeing as this is my favorite sale of the year! Last year I went a little nuts in the dressing room and this year I toned it way back to share with you the pieces I truly think are worth purchasing during the #NSALE. Some are splurges but most are super budget friendly. So let’s get right into it!!
This is pretty much going to be my mom uniform this fall! What I love about this green leopard print tee is that it is super comfortable and can easily be worn now as well as in fall. I paired it with this grey cardigan which is a total closet staple. This cardi has been included in the NSALE before and they keep brining it back because it is so good. I’m wearing a size small in both the t-shirt and cardigan, though I would have preferred the xs in the cardigan if they had it but they were already sold out in-store. These jeans are a total winner!! I am obsessed. You can’t beat the fit, or the price! I bought my normal size and just know I’ll be wearing them so much year round. They are a true high waist and have the perfect amount of stretch.
These are the shoes that I tried on during the sale. I had every intention of adding some boots and booties into the mix but found myself not yet ready to look. I’ll probably go back in the near future to try on a few pairs, or order some to try on at home. I don’t know if you remember the Steve Madden mules I bought last year but this year they’re available in this adorable flat. They have the same color options as last year so the mustard yellow I bought them in is now available in the flats but I chose to go with black. The Tory Burch sandals and slides are my splurges this year. I didn’t get pair last year and I definitely regretted it. So this year I ended up going home with the slides. The strappy heels I’m wearing are also Steve Madden and they come in 3 options. I wanted the nude but they didn’t have them in store so they are currently on order to be delivered hopefully soon! And lastly were the Marc Fisher heels. I so wish these fit my feet better. I love the look but with my narrow heels they just didn’t look right on. You’ll see in some of the upcoming outfits what I mean. PS I tried all pairs in my normal size and the only ones I would probably size down in were the blush pink Tory Burch sandals and the Marc Fisher heels…possible the Steve Madden heels as well, though the flats fit perfectly TTS.
You all know I’m a big fan of Free People and so I had to try on this sweater! I’m wearing a size xs (my normal size in FP) and it definitely is tunic length. I tried tucking it in, in a front tuck but there was so much fabric that I think it will look so much better paired with leggings! Wearing the Madewell jeans I took home with me and the Steve Madden flats. Such a cute, everyday outfit!! In my IGTV I showed this outfit with a calf skin leopard print clutch but here I’m wearing the Clare V. suede backpack because I couldn’t not share it with you!
There are so many pretty pieces of jewelry included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Most of the pieces I selected are budget friendly and one is a splurge. I love stocking up on some Kendra Scott during the sale as well as finding a few other versatile pieces that I can add to my collection.
So this blazer would be perfect for your fall workwear wardrobe! I loved trying to dress it down for a more casual office attire, since #siliconvalley. This pale pink long sleeve top is seriously so soft, I wish you could feel it. It comes in lots of colors and is really well priced for a basic layering piece. I’m wearing a size small in both though I’d definitely have preferred an xs in the long sleeve top. The blazer I don’t mind being a bit oversized since it’s always nice to be able to layer a lightweight sweater underneath for fall. These sandals have been part of the Anniversary Sale for years in a row but never in this pale pink color. It’s definitely perfect for wearing right now as well as into fall. And what do you think about this creamy crossbody?! I love the strap detail and how polished it is. I’m personally not in the market for another handbag but I had to share this one with you ladies and gents in case you’re in the market for one. This would also make for a wonderful gift!
This fall floral peplum blouse and striped cardigan might be two of my favorite pieces that I tried on. Both came back with me and for good reason. They’re both wearable now through fall and the cardigan is so cozy and warm it will be perfect for winter as well. The color combo is also right up my ally. I have a feeling it will sell out quickly. Word of advice, you can definitely size down one and still have plenty of room to layer underneath. If you go to my latest IGTV you’ll see that I paired this look with the newest Tory Burch tote. I love the woven sides and the tan leather combo. Again, a great bag to use year round!
A few of the other bags and accessories I pulled to share with you all! I picked two splurge sunglasses and two budget sunglasses. This Michele watch is a splurge but definitely much more reasonable than the other options included in the sale. I love the white and rose gold combo. And then there’s the bags! This black bucket bag is named Laura, so you know I felt the need to buy it! But out of the two crocodile embossed bag I can’t help but love the circle bag from Rebecca Minkoff. It comes in 3 colors and this dark green is just calling my name. The double strap detail also caught my eye.
This fall floral shift dress is so pretty and feminine. I love the mini pleating. The color palette reminds me of a dress I selected last year…but the styles couldn’t be more different. I’m wearing a size small petite. Oh and it comes in loads of options so that if you’re not into the fall florals you can select from solids or other prints like this leopard option which is so fun. I had to try on a few different wool felt hats since I really wanted to add a new one this fall. I’d love to know which one you like best A or B?!
So Mason was not really in the mood for trying on clothes with me yesterday so I ended up just selecting my favorites and hoping that I catch him in a better mood for fashion this weekend to shoot for our mommy and me fall fashion. But check out these adorable options! These are my toddler boy favorites from the sale that will all coordinate so well with each other. Which are your favorites?!
So I normally don’t go for an all black and white look but this outfit has me singing a different tune. I love these crop pants from Sanctuary. Since I’m still in between sizes I decided to size up in these. I probably could have worn the size 26 but I feel more comfortable with them a bit looser around my waist in the size 27. I love the mix of print with this stripe cropped cardigan. I love the big buttons! And then there’s the lace trim cami. I am all about these for layering. I have so many of them from prior years and I just love this polka dot one. I’m wearing a size small in the cami, like I always do. I much prefer them to be a bit flowy!
Alright, I saved this look for last because I am OBSESSED with this tweed jacket! I absolutely adore the color combo and it’s giving me Chanel vibes without the price tag!! As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted it. I’m wearing a size small but it does come in petites so I’m ordering it in the small petite so it is a bit more cropped like it should be. This coral cami was just perfect for wearing underneath. Gotta love that pop of color and especially a color that looks beautiful year round.
