As soon as I saw the Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach, when I was doing my hotel research on places to stay on Oahu, I knew we had to stay there. I was drawn to all the design elements from the coral wall display in the entryway, to the murals (both of which we could see from our balcony) outside the hotel. The pool and lounge area looked so posh and relaxing. I absolutely love luxury travel and luckily for me my husband understands/accepts my level of taste and let’s me choose where we stay on vacation. Fun fact, the Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach was named one of the top resorts in Hawaii by Conde Nast. I showed him the modern design of the hotel, the rooms, and the ocean view and he was totally on board. There was one aspect of the hotel I wanted to keep a secret though, so it was a surprise for both Mason and Justin and that was the ginormous aquarium in the middle of the hotel.
I checked my wholesale travel club to see if by chance it was included and at a discounted rate and thankfully for me it was. I kept an eye on the room prices for a few weeks until we were about 30 days out from our trip and then booked. My patience paid off as we saved over $500 on our ocean view hotel room.
We stayed on the 11th floor and had a great view of the ocean. The service was impeccable! I let them know we had two birthdays coming up, Justin’s and Mason’s and so one day they sent us up a special treat of macaroons, chocolate dipped strawberries, and a mini bottle of champagne. I honestly cannot say enough good things about them. After just a few days on the island Justin and I decided that we wanted to extend our stay. So I booked us another night. The front desk at the hotel helped us extend our current reservation so that we could stay in the same room and not have to check out and check back in. Which would have been a pain and taken up precious time our last day. I really want to thank all the staff at the hotel who helped make our trip a wonderful one. I definitely would go back in a heartbeat!
As always, thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! I hope you enjoyed the review!!
