One thing this season that I got the opportunity to do that I hadn’t really done in the past is go backstage at some of the larger shows with beauty brand, Aveda. I was excited to be able to get a close up of the hair and makeup at Tibi and be able to even get a sneak peek of the collection before it was shown on the runway.
Aveda was kind enough to do my hair backstage and I love the way the undone top knot half up half down hairstyle turned out. It was nice to have a change to my normal hairdo of either natural curls, curling iron curls, or straight iron hair that I typically do at home and during NYFW.
I’ve always loved Tibi’s collections and the colors on the runway this season were so pretty. I loved how the hair and makeup really complimented the looks. Also, one thing many people miss (especially when they’re watching the show) are the nails. The nail art was really pretty, full of negative space and little color in lavender or black. Little hints of color in the eye liner are also easily missed when you’re watching the shows as you’re typically drawn to the clothes first, then the shoes, and lastly the hair. The other details are just too hard to see when you’re not right in the front row (and even then you could miss the pretty details).
I hope you enjoy these snaps I took from backstage at Tibi!
