I wanted to start out by saying thank you to the Pechanga Resort and Casino for our complimentary stay in exchange for my honest review. As always the opinions expressed in this blog are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands and companies that help make Have Need Want possible.
Not this past weekend, but the weekend before Justin and I got a weekend away without Mason. We flew down to San Diego then drove to Temecula for the weekend to celebrate a friends wedding and get some quality us time. We stayed at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in their newly renovated tower. Our room was gorgeous and we had a fabulous view of the pool and gardens. I love how they designed the rooms to be super energy efficient as well as conserving water.
I have this thing about quality finishes, I did get a degree in interior architecture so it makes sense that I would love all things interior, and the entire resort was done so well. The main areas had show stopping architectural details. You could tell every aspect of their remodel down to the smallest details were well thought out. They had this gorgeous leaf art installation that was so beautiful on your way to the new tower. I’d stop and stare at it every time we passed by, which was a lot!
The tile work in the bathroom was some serious goals. I was obsessed with the shower. I’m saving these pics for inspo for the day we remodel our house and I can create the luxury bathroom of my dreams because I definitely want something similar! I even liked the wall covering which was surprising because so often I don’t.
The spa was another area of the resort that I got to check out and boy was it beautiful. They had a salon area off to one side and then the spa area was in another section. It felt so relaxing there I could have stayed all day. With gorgeous views of the mountains and a separate pool area just for spa guests. Their lounge area was stocked with fruit and berries which I just loved and the spa rooms were equally as relaxing and gorgeous. I must mention that the spa also has a gym and they have yoga classes available on the weekends!
I think the spot we spent the most time at was definitely the pool. It kind of had that Las Vegas luxury pool party vibe. Cabana life to the max with a swim up bar, trending artists and the can’t live without classics on blast (not too loud though), floating day beds, in water lounge chairs, and cabanas for rent. They had a restaurant that served the perfect poolside eats and waitresses coming around to help with your drink orders. Justin and I had a blast relaxing by the pool. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect all weekend so we posted up for hours.
Since I’m not a gambler and either is Justin we didn’t really spend much time in the Casino. It did seem to draw a very large crowd but I liked how the hotel rooms were so far removed it didn’t at all feel like you were staying in a casino. The hallways were super quiet and we stayed on a non-smoking floor so I didn’t have any issues with cigarette smoke. I’m super sensitive to it so I was relieved that it was a non-issue. There’s security right by the elevators to get to the hotel rooms so no non-hotel guests could be there which I think drastically helped with the noise.
I was seriously so impressed with the Pechanga Resort and Casino. I would most definitely stay there again next time we find ourselves in Temecula. And I would totally bring Mason with us next time because it was super kid friendly. There was a whole area dedicated to kids in the pool area. I know Mason would have just loved to splash around. It’s funny how even when you get time alone with just your significant other how you both can’t help but talk about how much fun it would be if your baby was here. Talking about what you’d be doing differently and how fun that would be to experience with him. I know we’re not alone in this!
