As I mentioned in an earlier post, I did a lot of shopping before NYFW. I try and buy pieces that I know I can style in “real life” but also will work in an outfit worthy of wearing on the streets of New York during NYFW. This cascade sleeve top was one of those tops that I know I’ll get a lot of wear out of. I have a few other very similar tops that I own but thought that white was too boring for this trip. I love this shade of green. It’s almost chartreuse but a little darker and combined with these navy wide leg trousers gave me all the feels. These ruffle belt pants were another purchase for NYFW but they’re so versatile that I will get a lot of wear out of them as well. The trousers came with the ruffle belt, that you see in these pics, but it’s also removable! The button holes are slits right along the back seams of the trousers so they are completely hidden. You could easily style these with a casual v-neck top or button down for work. Throw a blazer or jacket over and it’s completely transformed. Take off the belt and wear them with sneakers for running errands. The possibilities are endless with this pair of pants.
This outfit is almost something I would wear normally but the caged heels dress it up and the bag just makes it. I knew this Coach bag needed to come with me to NYFW because it’s a statement without being over the top. I also couldn’t help but think about Mason and how much he will love this bag when he’s older because of the patches and the fact that there’s a dinosaur on his moms bag.
My hair was done by the Aveda team in the morning when I was backstage with them for the Tibi runway show. I think this partial updo fit this outfit really nicely.
