Time is flying by and Cooper is already 6 months old! So I thought it was about time I post an update on Cooper as well as share my reviews for Cooper’s new car seat the Cybex Sirona S convertible car seat and his Cybex Gazelle stroller. I’m so happy to be partnering with Cybex for all of Cooper’s travel gear, starting with his infant car seat. And now adding these two products, which have been absolutely amazing. They’re both super functional as well as stylish and both have special features that are hard to find in other brands.
Cooper is growing like a weed. Cooper, at six months, already weighs as much a Mason did when he was one years old. I’m guessing that his length isn’t too far off either as Cooper is in the 94th percentile for his length. My boys truly couldn’t be more different when it comes to the growth charts and where they fall on them…well except for their head circumference. Even though overall Cooper is tracking on the top end of the chart his head is tracking small. I personally don’t see it, but small heads run in my side of the family.
Because of Cooper’s fast growth, he grew out of his infant car seat a lot quicker than I had imagined. His little feet have been dangling off the end for almost a month so it was about time we graduated him to a convertible car seat. I was really drawn to the swivel design feature of the Cybex Sirona S Convertible car seat. It makes getting Cooper in and out of the car so much easier. I can turn the car seat towards me to load and unload him in his car seat and then lock him back in place, rear seated. I can’t tell you how much happier Cooper is in his new car seat. He seems so much more comfortable and depending on if he’s sleepy or awake I can recline his seat or have him more propped up. The design of the Cybex Sirona S Convertible car seat is a real game changer. I love that it still has the load leg like his infant car seat as well as all the other safety features I loved with the Aton 2.
Another thing I was not prepared for Cooper to outgrow so quickly was his SNOO. I know he was only supposed to be in it till around 6 months but I was really loving how well he slept in it until his head and feet spanned the whole length inside. He’s graduated from his SNOO and is now in his mini crib. It look a while for his mattress to be delivered after I ordered it so we had about a week and a half.
Cooper loves his tummy time. He started rolling over back to tummy and tummy to back at 4 months. He’s been able to move all around by wiggling, rolling, and pushing himself backwards. He’s getting so close to crawling but is not quite there yet. He can easily push himself up, he’s really strong, and is starting to get his knees underneath him but then decides to flatten back out and kick his legs. He’s definitely rocking forward and back and working on his army crawl. If he’s got something to hold onto then he can pull himself forward using his feet as well. I’m expecting he’ll be crawling in no time but I’m really hoping he holds off for a little bit longer because I am not ready for this baby stage to be over!
One thing I’ve really enjoyed and taken full advantage of, during the week while Mason is at school, is going for a walk with Cooper. I take him in his Cybex Gazelle stroller for about an hour and a half to two hours each day. It’s so nice to get outside and enjoy where we live. Cooper used to sleep most of our walk but now he is so much more awake and is looking at everything around us. I love being able to show him the ocean and watch the waves with him. I absolutely love his stroller and how versatile it is. The basket below has so much room. I often will run errands towards the end of our walks and it’s so nice to be able to fit everything in the stroller and be able to have space for it all. I still have Cooper facing towards me but I love that it’s so easy to switch the seat direction. It’s also so easy to open and close and when folded the stroller can stand on its own. It has the ability to turn into a double stroller if need be and each seat can hold up to 50 lbs. I love how durable it is and the accessories are great! Mason loves using the kid board that can be attached to the back.
As you can imagine I am loving this phase with Cooper and just a little sad that my baby is already growing up so fast.
As always, thank you so much for stopping by the blog today. I hope you enjoyed the update and product reviews. And thank you for supporting the brands that help make this blog possible.
