Before Mason was born I bought the Maxi-Cosi Mico Max 30 infant car seat. I selected it not only because of the safely rating but also for the design. I wanted a car seat that not only functioned well but also looked great. I purchased it during Nordstrom’s Anniversary sale also known as the #NSale last summer. I know you might not think of going to Nordstrom for baby gear but I’ve found so many great baby products at Nordstrom, all while racking up my Nordstrom Notes perfect for using during epic sales like this one!
If you’re not familiar with this sale, during the Anniversary sale each year you can snag new for fall pieces at 30% off (sometimes more). Items from all categories are included from women’s clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories, baby and kids clothes, beauty products, menswear, and home decor. (PS the Anniversary sale early access starts next week on the 13th with public access starting on the 21st!!). I have been totally happy with my purchase and would definitely get it again.
Mason loves riding in the car and easily falls asleep during trips in the car. While the Mico Max 30 infant car seat is good up to 30 lbs it’s starting to get hard for me to carry Mason in the car seat now that he’s 19 lbs. I do love the convenience of being able to snap him in and take him out of the car in his car seat easily when he’s asleep, thanks to the car seat base, but with all the wrist problems I’ve had I realized it’s time to transfer to a convertible car seat.
I knew right away that I wanted to get another Maxi-Cosi car seat and so I was so very happy when they were willing to send me their latest model the Pria 85 Max Convertible Car Seat special edition from their Nomad Collection. I chose the sand color just in case we have a baby #2 and it’s a girl. I know that’s way in our future but I couldn’t help but think gender neutral. This is the only convertible car seat rated from 5 to 85 lbs. I love their attention to detail, just with the Mico Max 30. The clipQuick auto-magnetic chest clip is so convenient and makes it super easy to get Mason in and out of the car quickly.
I can tell already that Mason is super comfortable in his new car seat, and just like with the infant car seat, it was super easy to install. I did it myself! I did have to sit in the car seat so that when I tightened the strap, after latching it into place, I could make sure it was as tight as possible.
