After barely making it through the freezing cold and windy first day of NYFW I was a little hesitant to wear my outfit that I had tentatively planned to wear for day two but I was told it was going to be the warmest day during fashion week, so I went for it. My leather Tibi skirt is surprisingly warm and mostly because it’s a midi skirt and covers a lot of my legs. My fur vest, which I purchased during a visit to New York a couple years ago is also really warm and even though my arms weren’t covered by more than my sheer long-sleeve blouse, I wasn’t freezing! Thick tights are definitely a must for this negative weather and so I am so happy that I invested in buying a few new pairs prior to boarding my flight. These super thick opaque tights were a lifesaver the days that I work skirts. It was so nice coming out of Mara Hoffman’s show to be greeted by snowflakes falling from the sky. In California we obviously don’t get snow much, well really not at all so if I had to brave the freezing cold temps I definitely want to experience the snow.
