Before leaving for New York I knew I needed some winter clothes to help me face the brutally cold temperatures. I looked online for some outfit inspiration by checking out some New York street style before deciding on what were necessities and what were personal fashion week wants. I purchased two coats which were both very different from one another. I purchased a blush pink Tibi coat and then this grey quilted down coat. To mix my looks up so that it didn’t look like I was wearing the exact same thing every other day I incorporated my fur stole, borrowed from my mom for this trip, or my vintage fur vest. A pop of red in my book is always a good idea and since I chose to wear this outfit right after Valentines Day weekend I thought it was extra appropriate. As you all know, there are pieces you purchase in your closet that have longevity and this Moschino Cheap and Chic blouse was one of those pieces. My JoA embellished sweatshirt was another one of those purchases as you can see it has made a couple of appearances on the blog (here and here) and has quickly become a go-to for layering or as a stand alone top. But what really makes this outfit is the hairstyle. Thanks to the team at TRESemme for creating this hairstyle for me. Marco my TRESemee stylist adapted the Mara Hoffman runway hair to work with my hair length and to graze the top of my fur stole making it the main focus of my outfit.
