One thing I absolutely love having some fun with are my manicures. I love bold designs as well as subtle but interesting combinations. At the beginning of 2020, before the pandemic hit, I made a promise to never have boring nails…I know it sounds a little silly but I was looking forward to getting outside of my comfort zone and really nailing the nail art (pun intended). I had a few really great manicures before everything shut down and as soon as I was able to I’ve picked up where I left off.
Before I head in to get a mani/pedi I like to look for new trends and nail art inspiration on Pinterest and Instagram. There are so many people sharing their own creations as well as nail art they have found and I get so many great ideas from them. Here are the best nail art trends for summer 2021 that I’ve found.
Daisy Nails – Here are just a few examples of how you can nail the daisy nail art trend for summer.
Negative Space – I love the look of a negative space manicure. There are so many different ways you can take it and make it your own. Here are just a few of my favorite examples that I’ve found.
Neon Nails – Bright neon nails are so fun for summer especially if you have a vacation planned. If the neon nails are a little overwhelming for you here are a few ways to incorporate the trend without going overboard.
Asymmetrical Tips – While a French tip is classic, it’s fun to play around with your nails even if it’s just a little something different on the tips. That’s why I am really liking the asymmetrical or off center tips.
Rainbow Nails – There are a number of ways to jump on this nail art trend. Here are a few of my favorites.
Wavy Nails – This is a trend I can’t wait to try. Maybe my next manicure. I love that the possibilities are endless when it comes to wavy nail art and how you want yours to look.
Mismatched Nails – This trend is one where it can easily (in my opinion) get way out of hand. Here are a few ways to do this trend in a way that’s not tacky.
Neutral Nails – Neutral nails are always in no matter the season. I love the trend of mixing multiple neutral shades to achieve a subtle but interesting manicure.
Fresh Fruit – Fresh fruit is great year round but having a fruit manicure definitely screams summer! I am currently loving the fruit nail art trends and think my next manicure might be one of these variations.
Is there a nail art trend that you are interested in trying out this summer? Any nail art trends that you think I missed? I’m always up for trying new nail art trends so leave your favorites in the comments!!
