I know I’ve already shared this dress on social media and glimpses of it in yesterdays NYFW recap post but I am just so in love with it, that I had to give it its own post. I haven’t owned a handkerchief hemline dress in years. This one definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone due to the plunging neckline. But, when at NYFW why not take some risks with fashion and push yourself outside of your comfort zone. I always try and stay on brand, even at NYFW, so you’ll never see me in any over the top, avant garde outfits. I probably will never make it onto any street style sites but I’m ok with that since I’m staying true to myself.
This dress is from the Nordstrom Signature collection and I love all the pretty feminine details. The blue floral print is definitely on trend and will be sticking around through next year as I saw lots of pretty shades of blue on the runway. The ruching detail hit right at my natural waist to ribcage helping to really define my waist. I got lots of compliments in this dress after I finally let myself get more comfortable with the neckline and side boob action. I was happy to find myself in Central Park to shoot this look because I feel like it fits in so perfectly in the setting.
What do you think, are you more into seeing wearable outfits during NYFW or are you intrigued by some of the more over the top looks? I’m curious if next season you’d like to see me step up my street style game and have at least one outfit be more avant garde. Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
